Cookie Policy
Last updated: 7 July 2026
Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how EyeLevel Driving School Ltd ("we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website eyeleveldriving.co.uk. It explains what cookies are, what types we use, and how you can control them.
This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognise your device and remember information about your visit, such as your preferences or how you use the site.
Cookies are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide a better experience for visitors. They are not harmful and cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your device.
Types of Cookies We Use
We categorise the cookies we use into two types:
1. Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the website to function and cannot be switched off. They are usually only set in response to actions made by you which amount to a request for services, such as setting your privacy preferences or filling in a form. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but some parts of the site will not then work.
2. Analytics and Performance Cookies
These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our site. They help us know which pages are the most and least popular and see how visitors move around the site. We use Google Analytics for this purpose.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Distinguishes unique users by assigning a randomly generated number as a client identifier. | 2 years |
| _ga_[container ID] | Used to maintain session state. | 2 years |
We use IP anonymisation in Google Analytics, which means your IP address is truncated before being stored, and the full IP address is never written to disk.
Managing Cookies and Consent
When you first visit our website, you will see a cookie banner asking for your consent to use analytics cookies. You can choose to:
- Accept All – analytics cookies will be set on your device.
- Decline – no analytics cookies will be set, and Google Analytics will not track your visit.
Your choice is stored on your device. If you wish to change your consent preference at any time, you can clear your browser's local storage for our website, and the cookie banner will reappear on your next visit.
Third-Party Cookies
We do not use any third-party advertising, marketing, or tracking cookies. The only third-party service we use that sets cookies is Google Analytics, as described above.
How to Control Cookies via Your Browser
You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings. The links below explain how to manage cookies in the most popular browsers:
Please note that blocking or deleting cookies may affect the functionality of some features on our website.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
